My Name is Onyenwezi Johnpaul Uche and i am a boisterous type of guy who loves to make friends, meet new people, have fun and make the most out of the little time i spend with friends and family cause i understand that life is short and precious. My hobbies include swimming, singing, writing stories, Acting, chilling out with friends, writing songs, photography.
I started singing as far back as 2003 during secondary school I was in the boarding house when i joined the Young Catholic Students (YCS) and sometimes we sang Accapella songs to entertain the students, then I started trying out writing out Gospel stuff.
2014 i went for project fame where i was told i was still too young (Maltilda) felt bad but my dad who has always been a Backbone and support to me and music told me not to dismay that it was a nice try and that other opportunities would present themselves in time when i was older.
2015 I got admission into National film institute and this was the high point for me i continued to have more exposure to musical talents, although i had been studying music on my own and tried learning the guitar, I've was even been invited by friends to back up their tracks in the studio cause i understood backing up in parts.
2018 i got a major contract in the movie "True Legends" by Ifeanyi Onyeabor where i sang about 12 movie sound tracks for them as a gay character "Chapman" which was mimed by the actor who played the character because he couldn’t really sing.
Last year i took it further by recording my own piece, a "duduke" challenge dropped by "simi" i did a one-minute cover and a friend took it further by helping me shoot a little viral video for it cause according to him he liked the cover and really wanted to support me. Although i didn’t win the challenge it gave me encouragements cause people really appreciated it and simi herself posted it on her wall on Instagram.
Ever since then I’ve been honing my art of writing and singing till this day, I've written over 50 songs and unrecorded till this day and i pray and wish that my passion and love for the music is about to be appreciated and seen by a wider audience and i thank Bird music, its CEO and the organizers of Pitch perfect Naija for the opportunity and such a platform Thank You.
